Many city schools record 100% results in ICSE Class X, XII exams

Patna: City students have come out with flying colours at the Indian School Certificate Examination for both class X and XII, results of which were declared on Monday. Most of the reputed schools like Carmel High School, International School, St Xavier's High School and Jesus and Mary Academy, Patna City, reported 100% results in class X.
Harsh Raj of Don Bosco Academy, Patna scored 98% in Class X and is now aiming to pursue studies at a Delhi school.

Son of an executive engineer, he wants to do engineering from IIT, for which he has already begun preparation by taking tuition in Delhi.
Director of St Paul’s High School, Digha, Anand Prakash said Akshat Sinha has scored 98.2% in Class X. Another school student, Atul Vidyarthi, a native of Fatuha, scored 97.2%. “Our school has given very good results continuously for the past few years. It has only been possible because of the hard work put in by our teachers as well as students,” said Prakash.
A student of St Joseph’s Convent High School, Patna, Yashika Kant has scored 97.5% at Class XII ICSE examination, the highest in arts stream in her school. Her proud parents, Neeraj Kant, a Bank of India official, and mother, who teaches at a playschool, said their daughter did not take any coaching and achieved the feat by self-study. “I am planning to do graduation in English, so will aim for the best colleges of Delhi University. I want to see myself as a professor, for which I will work hard,” Yashika told TOI.
Most of the parents have already made future plans for their children. Reena Shrivastav, a housewife and mother of Abha Shrivastav, who scored 93% in Class X from Mt Carmel High School, said she wants to see her daughter as a doctor and is already sending her daughter for biology tuition. Abha also took tuitions for English and Computers for the board examination.
Most schools have achieved hundred per cent results, but many parents wants to change the school of their wards as they want to change the board. Prerita Priyam of St Joseph’s Convent High School scored 95% in class X without any tuition. Her parents want her to join a top CBSE school in the city for her +2 education. Priyam, an aspiring IITian, is already focused on her aim.
Raj Lakshmi, daughter of Neelam Singh and Sugendra Kumar Singh, has scored 94% in class X. She was the House captain of St. Joseph's Convent High School, Patna, and won many debate competitions. She had also participated in different extra-curricular activities like basketball, badminton, swimming, chess and karate, her parents told TOI.
